QuietClip CIC (Channel Isolation Clip) is a resilient sound isolation clip to reduce sound transmission through drywall ceiling and wall assemblies.
The clip screws into the studs (wall) or joists (ceiling), followed by a steel hat channel connecting the clips. Drywall (gypsum board) is then fastened to the isolated hat channels.

Estimated values. Actual usage may vary and is dependent on wall and ceiling length-to-width ratio, any penetrations, doors, and windows. Do not exceed 48" on-center spacing and do not exceed 36 lbs/clip load.
 
Furring Hat Channel Recommendation:
QuietClip CIC is compatible with the following Furring Hat Channel Type: 7/8" Furring Hat Channel, 25 ga. with hemmed edges.
We strongly recommend not using other furring hat channels types or thicknesses for best performance, ease of installation, and compatibility.
